daily commute
Saying Goodbye to 360 asked:

I am trying to get back into shape and save gas by not using my car so much but, I am not knowledgeable enough concerning the right type of bicycle for me. I just need a dependable bike more suited for daily commuting to and from work. Somthing like a hybrid (combo. of a typical ‘ten speed’ touring bike and a mountion/trail bike) might work. I will be riding in rainy weather also so, traction is a major factor. I am not up on the current levels/standards that make a bicycle good or bad. I am more interested in purchasing a bike from a local dealer rather than online. Am I open to the idea of buying a used bike or buying from a ‘pawn’ shop. Any suggestion?

Jack
